Lip healing is a fascinating biological journey. Understanding each phase day by day gives you complete peace of mind and ensures you achieve the most vibrant, long-lasting color.
Day by Day Timeline
- Days 1–2 (Intensity & Light Edema): Lips are vibrant and slightly swollen. Gently blot lymph fluid with a damp cotton pad.
- Days 3–5 (Flaking Phase): Micro-crusts form and begin naturally shedding. Keep lips hydrated with your healing balm.
- Days 6–10 (The Ghost Phase): Freshly revealed skin looks milky and pale. Do not worry—pigment will resurface!
- Weeks 3–6 (Color Bloom & Settling): The true, gorgeous watercolor shade blooms and stabilizes.
