It is one of the most common questions clients whisper during consultations: *"When can I kiss my partner again?"* While romance is important, protecting your healing lips from bacterial infection is top priority.
Why Must You Wait?
The human mouth harbors hundreds of bacterial species. Friction and saliva contact during the first 5 to 7 days can introduce pathogens into open micro-channels and prematurely dislodge pigment flakes.
The Kissing Timeline
- Days 1 to 5: Strictly NO kissing. Dry air and sterile balm only.
- Days 6 to 9: Very gentle, light dry pecks once flaking has completely ended.
- Day 10 onward: You can resume passionate kissing with total freedom!

Frequently Asked Questions
Will kissing transfer pigment to my partner?+
No! Pigment is locked inside the dermal layer. Once healed, it is completely smudge-proof and non-transferable.
What happens if my partner accidentally kisses me on Day 2?+
Gently clean your lips with a sterile saline solution or damp pad, blot dry, and reapply your antibacterial healing balm.
Does facial hair (beards) irritate healing lips?+
Yes! Coarse stubble friction can scrape off micro-crusts. Avoid close contact with beards for the first 7 days.
